Photo of the Week: Montreal’s Notre Dame Basilica
While one normally thinks of snow and below freezing temperatures, I visited Montreal during a sweltering heat wave in the middle of summer. With no appetite for poutine, I spent most of my time inside of museums and sitting in shady cafes in Vieux-Montreal. Old Montreal is famous for many things, but Notre Dame, Montreal’s most beautiful Catholic basilica is its crown jewel. While the outside is standard and grey, the inside is a colorful Gothic delight, with stained glass art depicting the religious history of Montreal.
Every Saturday I share a random photo from my travels. Share if you enjoy!
What do you think? Have you ever visited Montreal?
