Photo Essay: Lake Bohinj in Black and White
Lake Bohinj. A picturesque glacial lake in western Slovenia surrounded by the Julian Alps. If you plan on climbing Mount Triglav, Bohinj is the starting point, but you don’t need to be a mountain climber to enjoy this beautiful lake. We had initially planned on going swimming, but the dark clouds and icy water quickly changed our minds.
Instead we decided to rent a rowboat for 3 hours (10 euros) and experience the lake from the middle of it. While the colors of the lake were quite striking, I felt that black and white better captured the mood. Timeless and overcast.
What do you think? Does Lake Bohinj look like a place you would want to visit? Have you ever visited a similar place?
