For as long as I can remember, I’ve been curious about the world and the people who call this incredible planet home.
I majored in art and anthropology in university and after years of studying human evolution, art history, and even weaving, I knew that when I graduated I wanted to travel and experience the world.
Currently, I work as art teacher in North Carolina, traveling during my annual breaks from school. I love teaching art to children, but I know that someday I will want to travel continuously for more than two months. (You can read more about my teaching/traveling balance here)
I love old maps, foreign languages (even though I am hopeless at learning them), live theatre, and Baroque architecture. I eat too much chocolate.
I have a slight obsession with Eastern Europe, particularly Hungary and the former Yugoslavia countries.
I am Canadian and grew up in a suburb of Toronto, but have lived in the United States for almost half of my life.
I haven’t sold all my possessions, nor have I quit my job to travel around the world. I’m just making the most of every summer, spring break, and long weekend to travel, whether it be across town or across the ocean. I hope you’ll follow along, my journey is just beginning!
